Learn new skills and reach your full potential

Learning new skills is usually a good strategy to advance in your career, expand your job options and keep up with the fast-changing world. Continuing education not only helps language professionals to maintain the skills and knowledge they have acquired over the years, but also to ensure that they are still relevant nowadays. Another benefit of staying up-to-date is enjoying a better position when negotiating with clients. If you have the latest knowledge on what they need, chances are that they are willing to pay more for your services. In the end, scientia potentia est.

The ProZ.com mentoring program is an initiative intended to provide a means for site members to meet other members who are well-established enough to take on an apprentice. The program is particularly useful for members who, for example, have completed formal training in translation or who have acquired translation knowledge, but have a lack of practical experience.
