Susmi began her career in 1998 as a project manager at a small US-based translation agency. Her role was diverse, encompassing project management, in-house editing, terminology work, and vendor management. The agency, with a team of around 20 to 30 people, managed all its operations manually. This was a time when the translation industry was vastly different, relying heavily on manual processes and face-to-face interactions.
Discovering ProZ.com: A turning point
In 1999, Susmi discovered ProZ.com, a platform that quickly became an invaluable resource in her professional life.
