The Blue Board record: a good rating matters

Written by Lucía Leszinsky | April 27, 2022

The ProZ.com Blue Board is the complete, searchable database of business records containing service providers' feedback and rating.  When leaving feedback on a client / translation agency / company, linguists are asked to enter a number from 1 to 5 corresponding to their likelihood of working again (LWA) with them. Entries may also contain information about quality management, on-boarding processes and payment procedures.

The Blue Board is a tool of benefit to both service providers and outsourcers. Businesses that have received positive Blue Board entries report a higher degree of trust and shortened project launch cycles among those service providers who check Blue Board records before accepting a project. Special site benefits are also thought for outstanding Blue Board outsourcers.

Not sure if your business has a Blue Board record? Open the feedback management page and click on "View my Blue Board record". If this option is not available, use "Create a Blue Board record for my company" to add your business to the Blue Board and start collecting feedback.

Improve your rating

If you are an outsourcer with a Blue Board record at ProZ.com, or an employee of a client with a record on the site, and your rating needs improvement (remember, 5 is the maximum rating average), here are some things you can do to improve your rating:

Make a call for entries

From your Blue Board page, click on "Call for entries". This will send an email invitation to all those who have subscribed to receiving request for entries. Someone who has worked for your business may be part of that subscribers list and they will be invited to leave their feedback.

Send individual requests for entries

From your Blue Board page, click on "Manage LWA feedback" (LWA stands for Likelihood of Working Again). This will open the feedback management page. Use the "Request LWA entries from service providers who have worked for me" option to search for registered users and add them to a list before sending a request to all of them at once.

Invite vendors outside ProZ.com

Send service providers who have worked for you a link to your Blue Board record and ask them to take a few minutes to leave feedback (using the "Start a new entry" option). If they do not have an account at ProZ.com, they will need to create one.

Leave feedback on your vendors' profiles

Posting your feedback on vendors' profiles is also a good way of encouraging them to leave feedback about your business. To leave feedback on vendors, visit their ProZ.com profile page and click on "Rate service provider" (top-right corner).
