If you work as a translator in Chinese, and as an interpreter in Mandarin or Cantonese, both can be added as languages. Mandarin and Cantonese can be added as variants of Chinese as well. Translators might also wish to add variants for Simplified or Traditional.
Be sure your working language pairs are added. For example, if you interpret from Mandarin to English, make sure it appears in your language pairs. The language pairs are used as filters in search. Outsourcers use these filters to determine who to contact with opportunities.
Here is how to adjust your language pairs:
1. Go to your profile at ProZ.com (when logged in)
2. Click the Edit languages link below Working languages
3. + Add languages to the languages you know
4. + Add language pairs
