Every year, ProZ celebrates International Translation Day with a two-day online event that brings together thousands of language professionals from all over the world.
This is ProZ.com’s biggest annual event —and the largest online gathering in the language industry. It’s more than just a conference. It’s a space to connect, learn, be inspired, and celebrate the work that translators, interpreters, subtitlers, project managers, and other language professionals do every single day.
At its core, ITD is about community. It’s about pausing to recognize the language professional’s role in a global industry that bridges cultures, supports communication, and keeps the world moving.
The ProZ/TV International Translation Day event features short presentations, live Q&As, practical tips, real stories, and lots of inspiration.
And this year’s theme? This year, the focus is on what makes the language professional’s work irreplaceable: the critical thinking, creativity, ethics, and nuance that only human professionals can offer; so this year’s theme is "International Translation Day: Powered by human thought".
You don’t need to be an established speaker, just someone with experience, insight, or a perspective worth sharing. Maybe that’s a lesson you learned on a project, a shift in your business, a tool that changed how you work, or a challenge you overcame.
If you are passionate about a topic and you feel like sharing with a wider audience, then don’t think twice. Send your idea and speak at ProZ/TV International Translation Day 2025.
ProZ will help with the rest: adding you to the official program and creating promotional materials to highlight your session.
If you’ve never attended or just want a refresher, take a moment to watch some of last year’s sessions. It’ll give you a real sense of the energy, the variety of voices, and the global community you’ll be speaking to.
Whether you’d like to share something with the world, learn from others, or just feel connected to your fellow language professionals, I hope you’ll be part of this year’s International Translation Day 2025.
Let’s celebrate human thought, together!
Warmly,
Luana
