Meet some of our extraordinary speakers for the International Translation Day 2024

As the day comes, the ProZ.com team is thrilled to introduce some of the incredible speakers who will be joining us for our annual ProZ/TV event in celebration of International Translation Day 2024. These industry leaders are just a few of the many amazing professionals who will be sharing their insights and expertise. You may know some of them from past workshops or TV events as well.

Nora Diaz

Nora Diaz is an English-Spanish translator and conference interpreter with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance productivity. Her love for teaching has led her to share her knowledge through articles, webinars, workshops, and her blog. Nora is a certified RWS instructor and chairs the Professional Development Committee of the American Translators Association. She co-organizes the Translation Innovation Summit and the Interpreting Innovation Summit. Nora is co-author of "The Translator’s Tool Box" and was named one of the top 30 women in the linguistic sector by Multilingual Magazine.

Martín Chamorro

Martín Chamorro, a TCL English-Spanish translator (Spangenberg, 2009), is an active organizer and speaker at professional events for translators and interpreters. He is deeply interested in the application of technology in translation and is always experimenting with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence.

Joachim Lépine

Joachim Lépine, M. Ed., C. Tr., is a French-to-English translator and the cofounder of LION Translation Academy. With nearly 15 years of teaching experience at Université de Sherbrooke, Joachim also led the OTTIAQ continuing education committee from 2013 to 2020. He holds degrees in fine arts, professional translation, and education from Concordia University, Université de Sherbrooke, and Plymouth State University.

Bridget G. Hylak

Bridget G. Hylak, CT, CI, MTC, is a tech enthusiast and communications industry veteran who has successfully transitioned from analog processes to comprehensive productivity tools. A Stanford University Cum Laude graduate, international speaker, author, and consultant, Bridget specializes in language, emerging technologies, and DEI/Accessibility. She has managed development teams and contributed to the RWS ecosystem. 

Tanya Quintieri

Tanya Quintieri is a seasoned freelance translator and the Program Manager at ProZ.com, bringing over 22 years of experience working primarily with direct clients. With a deep understanding of the translation industry and close ties to fellow freelancers, Tanya has honed her expertise in managing and delivering high-quality localization projects. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and fostering a strong community of language professionals.
