We are happy to celebrate a remarkable milestone with ProZ.com’s partner, MCIS Language Solutions, as they commemorate their 35th anniversary! For three and a half decades, MCIS has been a cornerstone in providing top-notch language services, training translators and interpreters, and advocating for language rights, growing alongside Canada's vibrant and diverse population.
As a non-profit social enterprise, MCIS has been instrumental in breaking down language barriers through a suite of services, including interpretation, translation, transcription, localization, and specialized training for both public and private sectors. Serving in over 300+ languages, MCIS stands as Canada's leading trainer and tester of language professionals, equipping over 250 linguists annually through innovative e-learning and hands-on sessions.
Since July 7, 2020, ProZ.com and MCIS Language Solutions have joined forces in an innovative online training initiative, offering linguists worldwide access to high-quality, affordable training and qualifications. Through this collaboration, ProZ.com provides its community access to MCIS' highly acclaimed Online Translator Training Program (OTTP), along with post-training assessments in both source and target languages.
ProZ.com is proud to offer an impressive range of Training Programs in Partnership with MCIS. These include prestigious certifications for translators and interpreters, advanced remote interpretation training, specialized US medical interpreter training, and in-depth courses in localization and audiovisual translation.
Beyond training, ProZ.com and MCIS are also working together to recruit interpreters in Canada for remote interpretation.
