A literary translator pool has been launched at ProZ.com. ProZ.com Pools™ make it easier to discover freelance professionals working in certain select fields.
The literary translators pool features professionals with experience translating books, plays, comics/graphics, poetry, short stories and songs.
Publishers, agencies and other companies are invited to browse the pool and connect with these freelance translators. Direct integration is available to crowdsource many translators at once.
Whether you have the project already scoped out, or need help understanding the process, someone is available to help you in the pool.
Individual translators might also be found using the ProZ.com directory or ProZ Find. If you would like to post a job and let the professionals come to your inbox, that can be done through ProZ.com as well, click here to post a job.
Want to know more about literary translation?
In 2013, ProZ.com hosted a virtual event on the topic. ProZ.com founder Henry Dotterer released an overview of the field of literary translation to those who attended the event. He provided this information in a blog post in hopes that it would be useful to the community.
There are now 12 ProZ.com Pools™ available for freelancer sourcing of interpreters, subtitlers, game localizers, pharmaceutical translators, students, CPN translators, and more. More pools are on the way.
