Connecting with fellow translators

I had an awesome time at the Wordfast Forward Conference 2024, held at the beautiful Hotel Sunway Playa Golf & Spa in Sitges, Spain. This annual event brought together users, developers, trainers, staff, and tech support for an engaging few days of learning and networking. The best part was making great connections with fellow professional translators. The camaraderie and shared passion for our work were truly inspiring.

On April 26, 2024, language professionals from around Cádiz gathered for a special occasion—the ProZ.com powwow celebrating the platform’s 25th anniversary. Held in person, this event provided an excellent opportunity for linguists, translators, and interpreters to connect, share insights, and commemorate a quarter-century of ProZ.com’s impact on the industry.

Powwows are informal gatherings of groups of ProZ.com users living in close proximity. The events are organized by local translators for local translators.

This December 30 at 12 PM GMT, ProZ.com will be having its first virtual job fair, where Plus subscribers will be able to network with over 25 businesses' representatives and give them their CV or ProZ.com profile links.

New reality, new normal, new challenges. We have all been affected by the worldwide changes, regardless of our role in the industry. Therefore, Translated in Argentina, a non-profit association of language service companies whose objective is to promote the local language industry, train resources, and build awareness of the industry within the local business environment, organized its third event, #CLINT21Virtual and it was a huge success.
