The second Video Game Localization Meetup took place on July 29. Sara Rodríguez and Guillermo Umpiérrez from the Terra Localizations team dove into how CAT tools are used within the video game localization industry and gave attendees some tips and at the end one lucky member won a memoQ license.

Last year, ProZ.com launched a new service called Meetups for members to engage in online networking during this new normal where networking in person became nearly impossible. 

This year,  ProZ.com teamed up with Terra Localizations to bring you a series of Meetups about game localization. Divided in six levels, the first one —open to members and non-members— took place on June 24.

Last September 30 and October 1 ProZ.com/TV hosted the annual International Translation Day event celebrating the translation and localization industry. One panel in particular focused on how branding can make or break a business, whether the business is an agency or an individual freelancer.

On Friday, August 30th, we met at a pancake cafe & diner in San Telmo, Buenos Aires, Argentina,to celebrate ProZ.com’s 20th anniversary. It was the first ProZ.com powwow for many of us, including the newly added staff members from the Argentinian team. We ended up being forty people —taking up more tables than planned— and we had a lot of fun!

It's that time of year again! For the tenth year in a row, ProZ.com is hosting free live virtual events to celebrate International Translation Day. This year, the events will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 25th and 26th. There will be over 50 hours of content from experts, chances to discuss, network, and have fun.

The event has been approved for up to 10 ATA continuing education points, and you can attend, for free and without the need to register, from any ProZ.com page, on Facebook, Twitter, Periscope, or from ProZ.com Mobile. Recorded sessions from this year's event will be made permanently available to all ProZ.com Plus subscribers after the event, as part of the Plus video library.
